We believe that our strategic projects and achievements in 2023 will keep us as a preferred upholstery supplier. In LTP, we thank our customers and suppliers for supporting us in achieving the milestones this year.
In this article, we are looking at achievements for 2023 and the focus areas for 2024.
LTP Furniture milestones in 2023
Sofa & soft seating
The 3D scanner is developing our approach to reverse engineering when we revive our customers' furniture classics. The precise measurements from the scanner ensure that the resulting3D model accurately represents the original furniture piece, streamlining our development and engineering process.
Launching our new foam-cutting factory in Kėdainiai, Lithuania, is advancing our lead times and capabilities within development and production. The synergy between the Foam Factory and our running Wood Factory aligns seamlessly with our strategic vision to strengthen our Sofa & Soft Seating manufacturing capabilities to support our customers even better.
One Global solution
At LTP, we partner with our customers to provide one global solution for their furniture supply from our production facilities in Lithuania and Mexico. With our near shoring possibilities, they are shortening lead times, carbon emissions, and costs and increasing flexibility.
A notable accomplishment in positioning ourselves as a global partner is that we successfully produced the first sofa in Saltillo, Mexico, with almost 100% locally sourced materials for shorter lead times for supplies in North America.
To support our global customers and friends of the house, we attended furniture fairs around the world like NeoCon, 3 Days of Design, Trends & Tradition, Clerkenwell, and High Point Furniture Fair.
Lean & automation
After careful analysis, we found efficient synergies by modifying and merging some of our operations in our adjacent facilities in Kedainiai, Lithuania, further enhancing an efficient supply of our customers' products. On top of that, we have implemented new robots in Kėdainiai, Lithuania, elevating precision and accuracy in our manufacturing processes.
In a stride towards digital excellence, we improved our Partner portal, incorporating more comprehensive data and insights, including updates from our Mexico plant. It supports our journey to becoming more transparent. It is more than just technology; it is our commitment to developing our craftsmanship.
Certification & compliance
In Lithuania, we have been re-audited and passed our FSC, ISO 9001, and 14001 audits. We also successfully got a traceable QR code for a customer, the MADE IN GREEN label by OEKO-TEX.
Green Genius has now installed a solar panel park for renewable energy for our plants in Lithuania based on our power purchasing agreement. More information about this initiative will come soon.
In Mexico, we obtained the FSC certification for our facility in Saltillo, affirming our commitment to responsible practices, as we already do in Europe. To reinforce our dedication to quality management, we underwent a pre-audit as part of our preparation for ISO 9001 certification for our Mexico facility.
These achievements are a testament to our unwavering commitment to environmentally and socially responsible practices.
Looking into 2024
In 2024, we are committed to enhancing our Sofa & Soft Seating production capabilities, utilizing our 3D scanner and Wood and Foam factories, striving to deliver a sofa sample within only five days from the design release. It will benefit our customers significantly by reducing their time-to-market for implementing new sofa designs.
We will also focus on further ramping up our production facility in Saltillo, Mexico. It includes on boarding more customers and expanding our local supply of foam, wooden parts, and metal legs, affirming our position as a global furniture production partner.
Are you diving into LCAs and EPDs? Then LTP has exciting news for you, as we are gearing up for the full launch of our Carbon Calculator. This tool covers cradle-to-LTP-gate carbon emissions for products manufactured at LTP and includes our customers' Scope 3data. All this information will be available in the same space as our Online Partner Portal, showcasing our commitment to being a digital, conscious, and transparent partner.
As we embark on 2024 with confidence, LTP extends our gratitude to our dedicated team, valued partners, and customers for their continued support.
Thank you.
