Grand Opening of Factories in Romania
A few weeks ago we celebrated our Grand Opening of 2 new factories in Romania.
LTP Group is very pleased to announce the 2 newest factories fully operational, serving LTP's valued customers . The two new factories adds to the expansion of the manufacturing footprint, as LTP factory no. 11 in Botosani and factory no.12 in Harlau, both located in Romania.
LTP is a Global manufacturer for premium Sport & Outdoor Garment Brands, and Contract & Design Furniture Brands, with fully-owned factories spanning 3 continents & 6 countries, and with Head Quarter located in Copenhagen, Denmark. LTP Balkan SRL adds to LTP’s production capacity an expansion of more than 2,250 m2located in Botoșani and Harlau.
Grand Opening Event
In October we marked the official opening with a grand event at the factory in Botosani.
Amongst the guests were specially invited prominent people, including the Danish Ambassador in Romania, Mr. Uffe Balslev. The guest list also included the Mayor of Botosani representative, Mr. Cosmin Ionut Andrei, a representative from the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Valeriu Iftime and the manager from the Employment Agency in Botosani, Anca Apavaloaie. After the official speeches LTP invited for a tour around the factory, champagne and cake.
Executive Management Interview
Jeannett Hvidkjær and Henrik Holmgaard Olsson, Group Executive Managers at LTP Group, were proud to be able to welcome the new family members in the two factories during the Grand Opening Event.
Henrik Holmgaard Olsson gave the background for expanding the Garment capacity in Romania. One of the trends in the Garment industry is near shoring, and for LTP Group, Romania was an obvious country to explore, having a long history in the textile industry. In addition it is for LTP Group critical to find capacity potential being able to meet customers needs for high technical and complex capabilities in garment manufacturing.
„We have high expectations and believe that our new production facilities in Romania will contribute significantly to LTP being a preferred production partner“: said Jeannett Hvidkjær and added:
„Our purpose is to offer sustainable manufacturing solutions for our premium garment brands, and continue to build on the 30 years of experience and knowhow in creation and production of sportswear“.
„Romania and the Romanian people are so welcoming and open-hearted. We have felt nothing but welcomed since day one. The grand nature and historical castles are on the top of our list for must-see’s in this beautiful country”, says Jeannett Hvidkjær. The Danish Group Management find the Romanian culture to fit well to the culture and values of LTP Group.
„We find a promising potential in Romania, and plan to expand our presence here in the coming years“, Henrik Holmgaard Olsson said as a final remark.
